Thai is little confusing due to tones :
นา naa mid field ; farm หน่า nàa low Nickname หน้า nâa falling face ; front น้า náa high uncle; aunt หนา năa rising [to be] thick ; dense
Thai can be easy such as :

ตา  dtaa	eye
น้ำตา  nám dtaa	tears
ห้อง  hông	room
น้ำ  nám	water
ห้องน้ำ  hông náam	toilet
ร้าน  ráan	Store
